Even though we can’t seem to get a hearing on SB 349 or HB 670, another bill shows clearly what is important to the leadership of the Maryland General Assembly. Illegal immigrants.
Yup Check out HB728/SB705. The State of Maryland is applying for a waiver so that they can get federal funds to help pay for the healthcare and RX drug coverage of illegal aliens. Why didn’t they come up with a system to get grant money for you to keep your RX Coverage? Why aren’t you just as important as a group of people who never put in one day’s worth of work to earn this benefit – but they get it for free? Well I digress. Here’s the crux of this thing:
HB 728 HAS A HEARING DATE! Yup.
The hearing is tomorrow at 1:00pm and being held by the Health and Government Committee. Here’s the kicker – they will not allow you to submit testimony to the Committee online. (Seems to me that they don’t want to hear from the people…just saying.) So, I urge you to call and send out an email to the individual members of the committee and your representative. (If you are out of state – Send an email to Adrienne Jones and/or Bill Ferguson)
